Sue Sisler Ellett, a 1984 graduate of Dundee-Crown High School, was a three-sport athlete at Dundee and D-C high schools. Ellett earned all-conference honors in golf, basketball and softball and was a member of the 1984 Chargers basketball team that advanced to the Elite Eight.

Ellett was also one of the finest female golfers in the state during her high school career, and she later was the team captain for the Northern Illinois University golf team. "That was a long time ago and what I'm most proud of is what I learned from playing sports then," said Ellett, the Courier News Girls Basketball Co-Coach of the Year in 2004 for guiding her Hampshire High School Girls Basketball team to an IHSA state Final-Four appearance. "Being a coach and a teacher, you can pass those things on to kids. I've had a lot of successful things happen in my life and that comes from competing in sports."
