Boys Basketball: 1952 - Honored by Little Seven Conference for scoring over 300 points in conference games. Only two other players, Jim Schuldt and Duke Beth both from Dundee accomplished this feat. Both Jim and Duke are also members of our D-CHS Hall of Fame

Student Council President: 1951-52

In 1952 Bob's story became nationally known because he was featured in an article in SPORT Magazine as "High School Hero". The six-page coverage resulted in him becoming the athletic hero of the basketball-crazy population of Algonquin, Carpentersville and Dundee. SPORT Magazine was the nation's leading sports-interest magazine for generations.

Bob's father passed away when Bob was 14 years old and he helped his mother raise his younger brother and sister. Later he served in the U.S. Army and was a career employee of Illinois Bell Telephone. Bob, a life-long resident of Dundee died in 2000.
