A 1983 Dundee graduate, Kelly was a two-time all-conference baseball player who led the FVC in batting average his junior and senior years. He was also a three-year basketball player and was all-conference his senior year. He went on to play baseball at Missouri Southern State where he was a four-year All-Conference performer.
