Miko is a 2010 Dundee-Crown graduate where he was a three-year varsity wrestling letter winner.

In 2008-09 he won his first Fox Valley Conference title along with a 3rd place finish in the IHSA State Meet at 103 lbs.

In 2009-10 Miko, this time at 112 lbs. repeated as Fox Valley Conference champion, along with titles at the IHSA Regional and two invitationals. He ended his wrestling career by again finishing with a 3rd place medal at 112 lbs. at the IHSA State Meet.
